At the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina, Team USA has tied its all-time record of 10 gold medals in a single Winter Games. A record first set at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.
Therefore, this moment in sports is over 20 years in the making. Team USA could possibly finally surpass the 10 gold medal mark. With athletes still competing in speed skating, hockey and events such as mixed team aerials.
