Packers Stopped The Dolphins Cold At Lambeau Field
It was a cold and snowy night but that’s what you would expect in Green Bay. They don’t call it the frozen tundra for nothing. And it was under these conditions that the Green Bay Packers stopped the Miami Dolphins cold at Lambeau Field. Throughout the game it looked to me like the Dolphins weren’t coping well with the cold weather. However, Green Bay started off slowly going three and out and having to punt. But their fortunes quickly changed when Malik Washington muffed the punt return. It was recovered by Packers’ Robert Rochell at Miami’s nine yard line. Three plays later Jayden reed was catching the three-yard pass from Jordan Love for the touchdown.
Miami killed themselves with penalties on their next drive. They had two false starts and an unnecessary roughness penalty called against them and eventually couldn’t convert a 3rd & 29. Green Bay then went on a 76-yard drive that lasted 13 plays just under seven minutes. The drive ended with Josh Jacobs punching in the 1-yard touchdown. That put the Packers up 14-0 by the end of the first quarter. The Dolphins got their next drive going with a series of passes by Tua Tagovailoa. Arron Mosby tackled De’Von Achane for a 6-yard loss on first-and-goal from the Packers nine yard line. Miami put their first points on the board with a 33-yard field goal.
After having to punt, the Packers went on to score another touchdown and a field goal. Miami also had to punt again after only mustering 17 yards on a 7 play drive. On their last possession of the first half they failed to convert on 4th & 5 as Tagovailoa couldn’t connect with Achane. The Packers had a 24-3 halftime lead.

Things still weren’t going well for the Dolphins on their third quarter opening drive. A delay of game penalty and a dropped pass led to another three and out and a punt. Green Bay tacked on another field goal before the Dolphins finally put together a nice 80 yard touchdown drive. Tagavailoa had to do a lot of passing since the Dolphins were in catch-up mode. After the Packers punted, Miami went on another long drive that ended in disaster. It was 4th & 1 at the Packers 1 yard line when Tagovailoa was sacked and Miami was called for offensive holding.
The Packers scored another field goal while Miami put up another score with a 12-yard touchdown catch by Tyreek Hill. But the game was out of reach at that point and Green Bay came away with the 30-17 victory. Nobody likes to lose but I bet the Dolphins just want to get back home and leave the cold behind.
